Here at Douglas Internet we want you to enjoy the experience of creating your new web presence and we believe that the first step towards any positive experience is understanding what needs to be done and by whom. This page gives information about how the process of creating your new site works.

A Single point of contact.

A project of this sort necessarily requires effective communications between yourself and the person responsible for actually building your new site. We will assign a coder/designer to your project and all your subsequent communications with us will then be with him or her directly. This enables you to build a rapport and ensures that whenever you contact us you are speaking with someone who knows and understands your project.

Keeping You Informed.

When we begin building your site we will give you a URL (web address) where you can see the new site being built. This will be something like http://douglas-internet.com/new/yourname. As soon as your domain is registered we will set up the hosting and put up a temporary 'Coming Soon' page. Once your site is completed to your satisfaction we will obviously replace 'Coming Soon' with your new site.

What We Need From You.

Our job is to take the information you give us about your business or project and use it to create an aesthetically pleasing and appropriate website. We can incorporate all sorts of media into your site, pictures, video, sound clips and of course textual information. We are happy to use pictures supplied by you or if necessary we can take the pictures or film the videos or sound clips for you. Usually there is an additional charge for this. If you supply us with media you must ensure that you hold the copyright to it.
